insanity is the new cool
One day, months later, I'm going to look back at this post and laugh.
First weekday of the year! Where kids are waiting anxiously for school start tomorrow, where teenagers groan and is secretly smug that we aren't starting school till two weeks later, where life still goes on as life.
I miss school.
Like the time in primary school where exams aren't in existence till a month before, where we would brainlessly run about without a care for the whole, where the most difficult or heartbreaking thing you can ever meet is to not be tablemates with your best friend.
Like the times in nanyang, which may be stressful and heartbreaking, and with much much more drama than ever.
Like how once upon a time I wished to grow up faster, graduate faster.
I miss nanyang the most. I miss how tiny nanyang is, I miss the squarish shape of our school, I miss how we only have four levels and I still can get lost somehow after 4 years. I miss the way we somehow abuse our right and go on the lifts, I miss hall and classrooms.
Most of all, I miss our Wu Guan. And this is where non-wushu people would kindly remind me that it is called the roof-top hall, and it is technically not ours. But it is. And so much more. It may be small and stuffy, the carpets may be covered in blood, sweat and whatever not, the cupboards maybe be filled with wood bugs or something, swords stained with blood or whatsoever, the lamps and fan may be broken from our insane football games, and more than half the time it is occupied by other non-wushu related things, but it is, and will always be truly ours.
This post should have been written on the last day of 2010, no? It would be a benifiting ending, something to be push to our past as we venture into the future. But you know that some things can't be pushed to the past, some things are things that we have to embrace and accept.
No wonder I think I'll be laughing months on when I have truly let go.
On a side note, it is absolutely amazing how I still have possession of the ny yellow blazer, which is currently sitting nicely within my closet.
...
I'l return it. I promise.
