Weather: Cloudy but warm.
Mood: Tired but relatively happy.
It's been a long time since I posted. But that doesn't matter, cause even if I did write about something, that something wouldn't be very interesting anyway.
Peer pressure has a great impact on our behaviour- Sarah and I both agree with that.
Sarah has been getting crazier and crazier everyday I see here, and the once-upon-a-time nice, innocent, detrimental Sarah is currently quite crazy right now. And she'll agree to it. Not that she's not detrimental anymore, she still is, but right now I'm starting to doubt her nice, innocent mind. Which ultimately boils down to peer pressure. Thanks to 2 relatively-crazy-twisted people sandwiching her- namely Ji Yeon and Yan Chun (I mean who else?), Sarah's starting to become even more twisted than me. I was just innocently stating a fact when she totally twisted the meaning of my words and started laughing hysterically by herself.
So we sort of came up with this theory:
Influence from Ji Yeon (Awake craziness) + Influence from Yan Chun (Sleeping craziness) results in Sarah (Plain craziness), cause the awake and sleeping thing sort of cancel out each other. It's a good theory- it's logical/ plausible / sensible.
And she's not the only example. I was told very often nowadays that I look very stony or 'dao -.-', whichever you prefer, most of the time. Am I? I'm not too sure myself, but I did realise that my reaction has sort of a time lag now. Just like yesterday when my mother was talking to me. Apparantly she was telling me something while I was using the computer and according to her I gave some sort of grunt as a reply. But after 5 minutes I was like "Huh? What did you say just now?".
So once again me and Sarah sort of came up with a theory:
A calculated equation would be: Influence from Christie (Stoning/ Lack of reaction / Slower reaction / Time lag) + Yi Xuan (Twisted mind / More responsive) results in Me aka Chingyee (Normal)
But calculated reactions don't work most of the time, so in reality...
Influence from Christie (Stoning/ Lack of reaction / Slower reaction / Time lag) + Yi Xuan (Twisted mind / Responsive) results in Me aka Chingyee (Stony / Time lag)
The only reason I can come up with is that despite both of their 'charges' or influence are about the same strength, Christie is located nearer to me, so by right the influence is so call greater. Oh wow, so now I'm slowly turning into a stone. Lols.
School's been boring, and the only thing that seems to be interesting is the CNY rehearsals today. My knee is SWOLLEN and my mother was horrified at the sight of it. It's turning into an interesting shade of red / blue / purple mix which I find pretty interesting, but sadly my mother doesn't see it that way. So anyway, back to the point, it was quite fun.
There's KI tomorrow! :D Then we'll talk about whether we're living in reality or dream, so on and stuff, which I think it's really cool. So there was this idea that maybe we're living in someone's dream and the reality is only a dream. Does that mean that when we dream we're actually waking up from the dream? And there's another idea of the dream of your dream- you know, sometimes you dream that you're dreaming in your dream. Then does that mean that when you dream you're still in the dream of something and only when you dream that you dream will you wake up to reality? That means that the so call reality we're living in right now is the dream of a dream of the unknown. Now that I read the para again I realised that it's quite confusing actually, so if you understand good for you if you don't- well, it doesn't really matter. And the concept that dreams show what we fear or desire. So if I'm living in a dream, that being dreaming must have either 1) Loved school or 2) Feared School. I strongly believe in the later, since I'm living in a dream filled with school and more school.
Sort of found this interesting pair of Latin quotes that compliment and contradict themselves at the same time: (Inspired by Sarah)
Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes -If you can read this, you're overeducated.
Si hoc non legere potes tu asinus es -If you can't read this, you're stupid.
And lastly a French quote to end it off (I know, I'm sort of obssessed with quotes nowadays- I have no idea why)
Le temps est un grand maître, dit-on, le malheur est qu'il tue ses élèves.-We say that time is a great teacher. It's too bad that it also kills all its students.
